Written proposals subject to the conditions contained within the complete solicitation, will be received at this office until September, 21 2007, at 5:00 p.m. local time for furnishing the services as described below for the Mississippi Institute for Forest Inventory.
Description
The Mississippi Institute for Forest Inventory (MIFI) is hereby requesting written proposals to perform a forest resource assessment of these counties in Mississippi:
- RFP NO. 07-09-MIFI-NO1 - DeSoto, Tate, Marshal, Panola
- RFP NO. 07-09-MIFI-NO2 - Lafayette, Yalobusha, Grenada, Calhoun
- RFP NO. 07-09-MIFI-NO3 - Benton, Tippah, Union, Pontotoc
- RFP NO. 07-09-MIFI-NO4 - Alcorn, Tishomingo, Prentiss, Itawamba
- RFP NO. 07-09-MIFI-NO5 - Lee, Chickasaw, Monroe, Clay
The Mississippi Institute for Forest Inventory will receive proposals from firms having specific experience and qualifications in the area identified in this solicitation. For consideration, proposals for the project must contain evidence of the firm's experience and abilities in the specified area and other disciplines directly related to the proposed service. Other information required by the Mississippi Institute for Forest Inventory may be included elsewhere in this solicitation. Unless otherwise stated, all offerors shall provide profiles and resumes' of the staff to be assigned to the project, references, illustrative examples of similar work performed, and any other information that clearly demonstrates the offerors' expertise in the area of the solicitation.
Evaluation and selection of the responses will be based on the following criteria:
- Understanding of the project and its objectives (Very Important)
- The degree of completeness of response to the specific requirements of the solicitation (Very Important)
- Proposer's ability to provide the required services as reflected/evidenced by qualifications (education, experience, etc.). This includes the ability of the proposer to provide a work product that is legally defensible (Very Important)
- The personnel, equipment, and financial resources to perform the services currently available or demonstrated to be made available at the time of contracting (Critical)
- A record of past performance of similar work (Important)
- Price. (Critical)
